Life in Culver City and Southern California

Clara's dear sister Vivian and her husband, Joe Sinay (Sid's best friend) moved in across the street on Jasmine in Culver City built on what was previously a bean field, after living in the same apartment building in Huntington Park. . Here she spent quite a bit of her life raising Bill (aka Little Billy) and Gary came along soon. Here they again lived near Joe & Vivian. We played in La Ballona creek and Ed Edmonds built a "New Room" where Clara liberally used for entertaining. Clara became the talk of Culver City with her art and there were many wonderful years, punctuated by a few tough times. Sid and Clara loved going to the Culver City Senior Center. She made many friends there and enlarged her sphere in Culver City. Her beloved Sid passed away while she lived at the Jasmine Avenue home but Clara did not stop growing.
